Retired Pay from 19th Novesculus 1886, 5. 9 make this request with more confidence as my indevidual case does not seem to require the sauction of au Act of Parlament, or clause of Regulations : as the Appropriation act Sauctions its issue by permissure of " the Treasury" and as delered Pay has already in several instances been unced, to Netered Officers holding Colmical apparusments. Inslaners which have been quotes by myself and others in ficcions correspondence.

6 . In concllction I would hembly paus. out that the provisional payment of thes Retired Pay already due to me, unced cause no extra cost to the Treasury, as it is certain to be issued later. it would cost me a high percentage to borrow that amount before embarking
